For several years Hope Church in Carbondale has been working with a small Baptist church in Reynosa, Mexico, sending teams on short-term missions.  These mission trips are an extension of a long-term relationship with this church beginning in 2009.  The purpose of these short-term mission trips is to come alongside the pastor and his congregation; to support them and assist them in their ongoing ministry in the community.  Team members help the church with repairs and building projects on the church building, assist with afternoon bible schools for the neighborhood children, and most importantly, build relationships with Christian brothers and sisters in a different culture and language.
